In diesem Sonntagsprogramm mitten in der Fasnachtszeit bürgt das Solisten-Ehepaar Dimitrova Zappa in Brahms' Doppelkonzert für exzellentes Zusammenspiel.
Die farbenreich instrumentierte Akademische Fest-Ouvertüre nannte Brahms auch "Janitscharen-Ouvertüre" und er fand, dass sie lacht.
Der anschliessende Übergang von „Johannes zu Johann“ ist eine lustvolle thematische Ergänzung mit Walzer, Galopp, Quadrille, Polka und Ballettmusik.
