Das Solisten-Ehepaar Dimitrova Zappa garantiert in Brahms' Doppelkonzert für ein exzellentes Zusammenspiel.
Die farbenreich instrumentierte Akademische Fest-Ouvertüre nannte Brahms auch "Janitscharen-Ouvertüre" und er fand, dass sie lacht. Der anschliessende Übergang von „Johannes zu Johann“ ist eine lustvolle thematische Ergänzung mit Walzer, Galopp, Quadrille, Polka und Ballettmusik
